Nga Huia Room (For tamariki aged 3 months to 1 year) We provide nurturing care and attention, fostering their growth and supporting those precious first connections with the world. At this early stage, we focus on creating a safe and loving environment where babies can explore, develop, and begin their journey of discovery.
Whio Room (For tamariki aged 1 to 2 years) We encourage exploration and curiosity, much like the Whio navigating rivers. At this stage, toddlers begin developing their sense of independence, and we provide an environment that fosters their natural desire to explore and engage with the world around them, helping them build confidence and resilience.
Mohua Room (For tamariki aged 2 to 3 years) We focus on building social connections and communication skills. This stage is all about helping children gain confidence in their interactions with others, developing the ability to express themselves and engage in cooperative play. Our nurturing environment supports them as they grow into active participants in their learning community.
Kakaruia Room (For tamariki aged 3 to 4 years) We nurture creativity and problem-solving skills, much like the kakaruia bird adapts to its environment. At this stage, children are encouraged to think critically, explore their imaginations, and develop the ability to solve challenges in creative ways. We provide opportunities for them to experiment, express themselves, and grow their confidence as independent learners.
Kakapo Room (For tamariki aged 3.5 to 4.5 years) Our Kakapo room provides a space for deeper inquiry and critical thinking. Here, children are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas more deeply, and develop a strong foundation for the next phase of their learning journey. This environment prepares them for school readiness by fostering curiosity, independence, and a love for learning.
Takahe Room (For tamariki aged 4 years until they start school) Our Takahe room supports the oldest children in honing their leadership and resilience. We empower them to soar confidently into the world of school by fostering independence, responsibility, and self-assurance. This environment encourages children to take on leadership roles, solve challenges, and prepare for the transition to their next big adventure in school.
